2016 Chinese New Year Celebration Gala

Dear OCCA Friend and Family,

We are pleased to invite you and your family to the 2016 Chinese New Year Celebration

Gala. The gala is scheduled for February 06 (Snow date, February 13), 2016, from 2 pm to

10 pm, at the Monroe-Woodbury Middle School, Central Valley, New York. This festive

gala, hosted by the Orange County Chinese Association, is a part of our continuous efforts to

promote greater multicultural awareness on the basis of supporting cultural tolerance,

creating a vibrant cultural community, and fostering an increased support among residents

within the local community.

This culturally enriching day for our community will celebrate the most important time of the

year in the Chinese culture - the Annual Chinese New Year Celebration. The Chinese New

Year Celebration is comprised of a show and a dinner. The show is performed by the

students of the Orange Country Chinese School and adults (volunteers and professionals)

from our association. The dinner is provided by the members of our Orange County Chinese

Association as well as local caterers. The event is open to the public. The show is free and

the dinner is $10 for OCCA members and $12 for non-members.

We would be extremely grateful if you would attend this occasion and be a part of our

OCCA is warmly inviting you and your family to attend the Bear Mountain hiking on April 4, 2015. We will meet at the parking lot near the Merry-go-Round (please look for the OCCA red banner). The hiking event will start at 10:30 AM and lunch will be served at the top of Bear Mountain around 12:30 pm. You’d better be there early to avoid heavy traffic. Please bring your favorite dishes (enough for your party) to share with friends and families. OCCA will only provide bottled water and light snacks.
Please join us for various (sports) activities after the hiking. These activities will be taking place on the playground near the Merry-go-round. Call Kangjian (845) 282-3635 or Chenghua (706) 767-0157 if you have any questions.

橙郡华人协会将于四月四日在大熊山 (Bear Mountain) 举行春游活动。我们热情欢迎您参加。

集合时间: 上午十点半（请争取准点或提前到达，十点半以后塞车可能性大）
集合地点: 停车场 (以 OCCA 旗子为标志)
我们将在十二点半左右在大熊山山顶会餐，请您携带您的佳肴（请带足够您家庭的分量）与大家分享。华人协会将提供水和零食。等。下山后您可以参加我们在山下草坪举办的活动如排球，足球，拔河，放风筝

From New City: Take Palisades Interstate Parkway (going north). For about 15 miles until its end at the traffic circle just before Bear Mountain Bridge. At the traffic circle make a right onto Route 9W South and follow signs to Bear Mountain. Veer/turn right at the traffic light (fork in the road) off of Route 9W just south of the traffic circle and go up the hill and proceed (south) until the entrance to Bear Mountain Park/Inn (Bear Mountain Inn which should be less than a mile from the traffic circle).
From Monroe/Middletown: Take Rout 17 East to Route 6 toward to Palisades Interstate PKWY, until the traffic circle (before Bear Mountain Bridge), make right turn at the 2nd exit to 9W, then follow above direction to destination.
